these past few weeks have been just so busy! i had a wonderful time in washington d.c. i was just in awe the whole time. there is just so much history there and it just makes me want to go to europe and absorb all the history there. i finally saw the abraham lincoln monument! it really was amazing to see that. after all, abe is my sweetie's great great great uncle! funny thing, when i was looking at abraham's face, i gasped because abe has a clear mole, in the exact same spot where jonah has one. hahaha that was kind of awesome. too bad jonah didn't get his height! our friends have the cutest apartment - it's an english basement.
i also celebrated my 30th birthday recently (on the 12th). jonah treated me to a full-blown meal at the cheesecake factory in boulder. that was fun and the food was just delish. piper (prima dolly aubrey) arrived on my birthday so now we share a birthday. piper is very cute in her new sugarmag duds (i have tons of pictures over at my flickr account). i also picked up my newly framed jeremiah ketner prints, i am sooooo happy i got these prints! i love them!
we have been totally procrastinating much-needed work on our portfolio. the "final draft" is due on monday. agh! first things first, we will go and see wild hogs - it's the only movie that's open-captioned in our area. i sure do wish we could have choices in what we want to see on the big screen.
oh, and i have about 90 something days until i move! i am so not up for moving again.
i just got my two prima dollies today - ebony and saffy, save for aubrey! she should be here tomorrow. i'm so excited about getting her. i orginally was going to name prima dolly saffy, clea, but she just didn't look like a clea to me, so i will have to reserve that name for the right one! so instead of clea, i named her mackenzie! :)
moon is absolutely in love with mackenzie.. he kept attempting to give her a kiss and he just kept looking at her. he didn't pay much attention to veruca. anyway, onward to the pictures:
i've been inspired by my own blythe dolls! as some of you know. i had a huge haircut fiasco not too long ago. my bangs have finally grown out. thanks to celena's advice, i added some "more" bangs and made them thicker. i think i really like having bangs for the time being! and not to mention i really love my hair iron!
moon was the cutest thing ever! he's quite sociable so when he was first introduced to amelie he wanted to give her a kiss. moon is so precious but then he wanted to PLAY with amelie, and he grabbed the edge of amelie's dress, and we were like, no no no! haha.
ewok was a bit apprehensive, he was up to checking her out but more than that, nope. he went back to his naptime. i can't believe that i finally have a blythe. it was a bit tortuous waiting for her! actually ebony was the first blythe that i got but it looks like i'm going to have to wait to get her at the end of february.
i fell asleep watching idiocracy. i love dax shepard but the movie was nothing to shake a stick at. i know he has like an everyman kind of look about him. hah. i liked him in zanthura and without a paddle. anyway i had a dream in which i was filming a movie with dax shepard and somehow we ended up in this huge mansion and we were sneaking around in the dark. in another part of the dream, i had to run and leap on him and kiss him. had to do multiple takes. what an arduous task! ;)
i've been debating on which flat iron to get for a long while now. my two choices were the chi and the hai. granted the chi is way more popular but i am a bit wary about buying this one as a lot of people seemed to be complaining about bad cords. so i decided on the hai twig! the hai twig has 3/8" plates, which is more suitable for short hair and bangs. so i'm hoping that i made the right choice!
the subject line certainly fits as i've been totally bitten by the blythe bug! :) for some months now, my good friend, miss lena, has been trying to get me into blythes. she was pretty confident in her prediction that i'd be into them in under a year. um, it's been less than that. haha! i ordered a prima dolly ebony the other night. i am coveting a goldie. i love her bangs, she is just sooo striking. i will have to keep looking for a goldie and i don't want one with wonky bangs. no no. i wonder if i'll have any luck?

in other toy news, i'm hoping to get a custom munny by jon knox griffin. thank you, celena, for connecting me with a proxy buyer!
i am in the process of transferring most of my .mac photos to my flickr account (username is aquapunk). .mac is just too cumbersome and slow for me. so i'm planning to phase out my .mac account and switch to a free email account when my membership is up. i just signed up for a pro account solely for the use of an unlimited number of sets. :)
here are some shots of my favorite vinyl pieces - brendan monroe's sours:
found this little beauty over at Bed, Bath & Beyond today. i was so psyched to get it in this color as i've been looking around for awhile now. it must have been meant for us as it was the last one that they had in stock! w00t. not to mention i picked up a couple of dog bowls at Pet Smart in this color, too. can you say color-coordination love?
